I'm looking to travel on the week of January 15-17 in Chicago. Arrive Friday afternoon and check out Sunday afternoon. One adult.

Hotwire shows a few options there:

4.5 *

$89/night

Magnificent Mile/Streeterville Hotel

Fitness Center

Restaurant

Business Center

High Speed Internet

No Tripadvisor ranking

Looking through these forums, it seems Hilton Conrad, Inter-Continental and The James would all fit that criteria, would that be correct?

I also found a 4* one

$79/night

North Michigan Avenue - Water Tower - Gold Coast Hotel

Fitness Center

Restaurant

Business Center

High Speed Internet

No Tripadvisor ranking

Forums indicate this could be Allerton, Westin Michigan Ave, Knickerbocker and Drake.

And finally another 4* one

$68/night

Magnificent Mile Area - Streeterville Hotel

Boutique

No Smoking

Fitness Center

Restaurant

Business Center

High Speed Internet

Tripadvisor - 4.0/5.0

Would this be Hotel Felix or Monaco?

I will purchase my Hotwire reservation via the links on this forum, so proper credit is given.

Thanks for any help on this.

I think the Hotel Felix and and Hotel Sax are the two likely possibilities for this one... i'm not so favorable that this is the Monaco.

I just booked my hotel, using the HOTWIRE link from this forum.

The 4.5 * one for $89 turned out to be the InterContinental.

I didn't see any place on the reservation where I could specify # of beds, but I imagine I can contact the hotel directly for that. I'm not aware of January 16th weekend being anythign particularly busy for Chicago.

Thank you, all.

Congratulations on your success! :)

The Intercontinental is very well-located, historic property. The hotel actually has a rather neat history, which can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/InterContinental_Chicago

The number of beds is not guaranteed with HOTWIRE reservations, although given the slow period, hopefully the hotel will be willing to work with you.

Thank you for sharing your win with the board and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links.

Enjoy your stay.
