puerhfan Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Hi I'm planning a trip with my wife to NYC. Looking for a 4* in in the $100-150 range, and I would spend more on a 4.5* or 5* if they were available. I would like an upscale hotel to impress the wife, and I'm flexible about location. Prices for 4* are already in my price range. No 4.5/5* listed at this time. Any suggestions about timing my buy, getting the best place, and/or snagging a 4.5/5* hotel?I will use the HOTWIRE link to book the hotel. Thanks for the great forum.
thereuare Posted January 4, 2010 Report Posted January 4, 2010 Welcome to BetterBidding! There are very few 'known' 4.5* hotels offered thru HOTWIRE in NYC (and no 5* hotels that i'm aware of) so it's not surprising that nothing at this star rating is appearing on a given search.Have you been able to identify the 4* hotels offered for your dates? Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for your purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
puerhfan Posted January 5, 2010 Author Report Posted January 5, 2010 Used the HOTWIRE link to book On The Ave Hotel in Central Park area for the dates listed above.Cost was $142/night ($168/night after all taxes and fees) which I was happy with. Thanks for the forum, I intend to use and book from it in the future. :)
