Priceline Hotel: Barcelona Spain

I'm taking a cruise to Barcelona and will stay in a hotel for 2 nights on a post cruise stay.

I'm wanting to know what suggestions you might have for a popular hotel that's would be offered at a rate of around $120 per night. I am looking for a safe place with good amenities that's close to the tourist attractions.

I've heard that the La Rambla area is a good central place to stay.

I had an Expedia coupon good for $30 off, and this place worked out quite well for a one night stay this past November. It is probably a half-hour walk to La Rambla, and the cruise terminals are on the other side of that. A gyro place in the same block, and some other minor shopping.

The hotel was a crisp contemporary one. Quiet, comfortable bed, and they let me check in early when I arrived after my overnight flight. A very fresh new place. Front desk was kind and helpful and spoke perfect English.

I'd been trying to bid, but had gotten up to what I could do with the coupon and no success.

I just bid on PRICELINE.com with $114 for Nov. 24-28, 2010 and Eurostar Grand Marina accepted a bid of $114 a night pre tax.
