first bid - 45 - failed; waited a day to place second bid since no free re-bid zones

second bid - 48 - failed; they gave me the option to rebid immediately if i would raise bid 14 bucks - declined

Based upon PRICELINE's counter-offer i suspect your somewhat close, are you willing to bid higher or do you intend to repeat the bid amounts above?

Happy New Year thereyouare and thanks for the reply. I am willing to bid a bit higher, so i may go up to 55 bucks as my tops. i will likely try again soon and will post bids if i do. i don't want to go too high though because i see that holiday inn is listed in your hotel list as a possible win. while i know there is no control over that win as a possibility, i can control paying too much money for it! :-) i'm hoping for courtyard or doubletree. there's one listed on hotwire for my dates for 3 star for 69 bucks. i'm not willing to pay for that as i can stay at guaranteed nicer property for my dates for $87. We'll see what happens when i bid again! any advice or comments are always appreciated. thanks

Yeah! Previously bid 45 and 48 bucks for above dates - they failed (see previous posting). This time bid as follows:

Bid 48 bucks - failed - priceline countered and said if i added 14 bucks to the price, they'd let me bid again right then - declined

Had my hubbie bid at $53 bucks - accepted by courtyard by marriott missoula.

price on courtyard's website has lowest price as $109 for first 2 nights and $119 for night of 2/2/10.

I used the PRICELINE link from this website (which is actually more convenient than going to regular home page of PRICELINE, this link takes you to name your own price quicker).

Thereyouare - my back up was hilton garden inn missoula - they had a prepay price of 87.20 per night. i hadn't booked it yet though in the hopes that i would win off PRICELINE. Thank you so much for this website and for your help thereyouare.
