robo909 Posted December 30, 2009 Report Posted December 30, 2009 Both USE and USW are showing $89/night for a 4* for Hotwire. Any ideas what those hotels might be?Any ideas of what to bid for Priceline 4* in USE, USW or Embarcadero?

AaronJB Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 Please list the amenities showing with the listings in question and we'll take a look.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
robo909 Posted January 7, 2010 Author Report Posted January 7, 2010 Amenities are Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High Speed Internet for USWAmenities are FC, Restaurant, Business Center, High Speed Internet for USE
AaronJB Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 The USW property would appear to be a match for the Hilton. My guess for the USE property would be Parc 55 (added: guessed Parc due to 800+ reviews showing on the tripadvisor rating on the detail page for the HOTWIRE listing when I searched.)Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
thereuare Posted January 7, 2010 Report Posted January 7, 2010 Besides the Parc 55, the USE property also matches previous reports for the Westin Market St and Grand Hyatt... so i'd consider these possibilities as well for this one.I agree that best guess for the USW property is the Hilton, but the Hotel Nikko would be a possibility as well. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases

thereuare Posted January 8, 2010 Report Posted January 8, 2010 The above matches previous reportes for the Club Quarters so that would be my best guess. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases and your searches too!Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. robo909 Posted January 23, 2010 Author Report Posted January 23, 2010 Need help ID 4* in SF-USE ($92) and USW ($84)4/3/10 thru 4/10/10USE Amenities: Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center & HS InternetUSW Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center & HS InternetAlso, my two sons are planning on joining us from 4/6-4/8. If I choose USE or USW for the 4/3-4/10, what are the chances I'll be able to get the same hotel for 4/6-4/8?
robo909 Posted January 23, 2010 Author Report Posted January 23, 2010 Planning trip for anniversaryHaving sons come join us for 4/6-4/8What are the chances of getting a bid accepted at the same hotel for sets of dates? Obviously, we'ld like our kids to stay at the same hotel if at all possible.
thereuare Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Is this stay in addition to, or does it replace, your end of March San Francisco Hotel trip? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases... and your searches too! robo909 Posted January 23, 2010 Author Report Posted January 23, 2010 Not sure how to delete one of the topics so I can keep both requests in the same thread.
AaronJB Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Happy (early) Anniversary. :)The USW would be a possible match for the Nikko or Hilton. The USE would be a possible match for the Grand Hyatt, Palomar, Parc 55 or Westin Market Street - without a tripadvisor rating showing on the detail page, it's difficult to narrow down that list. I'm seeing what appears to be a different USE listing for 4/6-8, but what looks to be potentially the same USW listing. Trying to bid for one property on PRICELINE for 4/3-10 and then trying to bid again for the same star rating/zone for 4/6-8 could definitely lead to a different hotel. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
thereuare Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 There is no way to guarantee the same hotel, but you may want to try the following:Search HOTWIRE for one room 4/3-4/10 and note the hotels which seem like possibilities based upon price, zone, star rating, etc. Then do a second search for 2 rooms for 4/6-4/8... compare these offerings to see if anything matches your previous one room search for 4/3-4/10.The risk of just searching for one room for each set of dates is that only one room is available, so after you make either purchase, the same hotel does not show for the remaining nites. By searching for 2ROOMS for 4/6-4/8 you can minimize this possibilty... since at least 2 rooms are presumed to be available, the offering won't disappear once you make the first purchase and take one of the rooms out of inventory. As well, since many hotels in this area look alike, you want to use all information that HOTWIRE shows to make sure you're seeing the same hotel on each search.Does the above make sense? Let us know what you find and we'll take it from there. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. robo909 Posted January 24, 2010 Author Report Posted January 24, 2010 I followed your suggestion and didn't see any difference. We may try that strategy and see what happens. Have to make the plans in the next few days so will update to let you know how it turned out. Thanks
robo909 Posted January 24, 2010 Author Report Posted January 24, 2010 Because we like the Embarcedero area moreso than USE or USW, we may take our chances on PRICELINE anyway. We can probably get a 4* there for about the same price as USW or USE on HW. Will update you with our results. Thanks for the input. Much appreicated.
AaronJB Posted January 24, 2010 Report Posted January 24, 2010 Happy to help. :) Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links, and please keep us updated on what you decide.
robo909 Posted January 29, 2010 Author Report Posted January 29, 2010 Wanted to let you know we booked at the Parc Hotel 55 directly. Got a rate of $85/night for prepaying, as I would with HOTWIRE or PRICELINE.Thanks for your help.
