islandgirl Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 I have just made the following bid for the second time with no success.MTE 4* $110 addMTW 4* $115 addMTC 4* $120 addUE 4* $125 add UW 4* $130The first time I started $10 lower but proceeded in the same way adding $5 each time. I am not sure whether to wait 3 days or use Hotwire - Roosevelt I think for $106.The exact location not important but not sure about 3* in NYC. The Roosevelt is listed as 3.5* so would probably be acceptable for the price.
thereuare Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 No need to do either:Millenium UN is avaialble for $129... also has no booking fee so cheaper than your $130 bid (and maybe your $125 bid as well). This hotel is a 4 star rated hotel via Priceline.Let us know if you take it or if we can be of further help. islandgirl Posted January 5, 2005 Author Report Posted January 5, 2005 Thank you for your help. That seems like a good plan.Rachel
islandgirl Posted January 8, 2005 Author Report Posted January 8, 2005 I just booked the Roosevelt for $108. The symbols were business, fitness, restaurant and internet plus the best value tick. Considering my bid on a 4* on Priceline for $130 for these dates was rejected I am happy with this.
islandgirl Posted January 8, 2005 Author Report Posted January 8, 2005 I checked out the link you provided but the total price was $95 more than the Roosevelt on Hotwire so I went with that in the end. I decided location and price were better than the extra half a star! Thanks for you help.
thereuare Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 If you're happy, then we're happy! :) Congratulations on your win... an excellent midtown location.Thank you for sharing with the rest of the board and have a great stay!
