Booked the Kitano for $140/night x 3 rooms from 1/21-1/22

Bidding trail: 4* only

$100 MTE

$110 MTE + CPS

$130 MTE + CPS + MSG Area

$140 MTE + CPS + MSG + Empire State Area = success!!

I wanted to avoid Times Square and MTW as much as possible

Cheapest rate through the hotel's website is $250, or $220 if you pay upfront

Glad to see you were able to avoid there area(s) you didn't want and hopefully are happy with the results. For future bidding it's usually recommended to 'start over' with just a new zone rather than add a 'live' zone as you had done... not sure if it would have made any difference, but doing so would have given you the chance to win this hotel for less (ie- note that $140 was your first bid which included the ESB zone, so if it was avaialble for less, you didn't give yourself a chance to win it for less) Feel free to ask for help before bidding for your next stay.
