Rosemary Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Does anyone have a handle on the 4* PL market price for the strip or the 4* Fremont property? For March 3-6 (three nights), I've inched up with rebids from $65 to $95 with no luck. :) Now I'm almost to the LVTB reservation rate. The 3* category from other sites' ratings seem to have at best mixed reviews. I'll be by myself but want to feel secure and not stay somewhere as thoroughly neglected as reviews indicate some of the properties are. Any advice is appreciated. It sure is easier (and more affordable) to do this in the summer! :)
thereuare Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 I'm not surprised, see my post LAS VEGAS One Exception I Don't Use Priceline. As well, given your dates span mid-week and weekend dates, if you do use Priceline, you may want to consider Splitting Your Priceline Bid or try HOTWIRE since they average the nitely rates over the period of your stay. Rosemary Posted January 12, 2005 Author Report Posted January 12, 2005 Thanks for the help. I followed your advice, abandoned PL under these circumstances and took the best hotel rate that travelaxe.com found for where I wanted to stay. Interestingly, after the fact I also looked at Southwest Airline packages. My air and hotel are to the dollar what Southwest priced for the itinerary.
