hungrytraveler Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 I actually bid for a 2.5* hoping that I'd get the Hotel Sierra Bellevue, but Priceline decided to bump me to 3*s; now I have to buy breakfast. And grrr, they don't have an indoor pool either. :) My first choice was originally the Embassy Suites, but after searching I didn't find any assurance that I'd get it, which led me to the Hotel Sierra as a good alternative. Any idea why Priceline would choose to bump me? I'm pretty sure the hotel has rooms, as both their site and PRICELINE (as well as Hotels.com, etc.) showed availability.Oh well, it's still a good price.ETA: I used the forum PRICELINE link. :)
yellowdog Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding!Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding :) Any idea why Priceline would choose to bump me?It can be that the 3* got a lower price loaded to the PRICELINE system. Or maybe the 2.5* don't have any rooms for PRICELINE. If a hotel shows availability is this not equal with having rooms on PRICELINE. Hope this helps.Enoy your stay.Yellowdog.
thereuare Posted December 26, 2009 Report Posted December 26, 2009 The star rating you select is the minimum that you are willing to accept... PRICELINE will always look to see if higher rated hotels are available in order to upgrade you.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
