IslaChica Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Would I be wasting my time trying to make a Priceline bid for 5* accommodation on the Las Vegas strip for NYE? I would consider any 5* hotel other than the Trump. The hotels that appeal to me are currently offering an average nightly rate of $350 - $375 for two nights starting from Dec 30. Any recommended rate strategies would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
AaronJB Posted December 24, 2009 Report Posted December 24, 2009 Welcome to Betterbidding! :)Please let us know your maximum bid per night, and we will offer suggestions on how to proceed. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
IslaChica Posted December 25, 2009 Author Report Posted December 25, 2009 That's my problem! I do not want to establish an unrealistic maximum bid for a 5* such as the Venetian that currently offers an average daily rate of $466. So I am seeking guidance.
thereuare Posted December 25, 2009 Report Posted December 25, 2009 If you're not willing to accept the 5* Trump then i wouldn't use PRICELINE for this stay as there is no way to avoid it. I would suggest using HOTWIRE and purchasing a hotel with a casino icon... since the Trump does not have a casino, you can be assured that this won't be that property. If you search HOTWIRE for your dates do any 5* hotels with a Casino icon appear? How much? Is this within your budget? Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.
