Priceline Hotel: Ft Lauderdale 1/8/10-1/10/10 pre cruise

Ok, I need some assistance please. I have been watching/reading the better bidding boards, doing trip advisor, searching hotwire and priceline and I still need help. This is what I want (it can be either priceline or hotwire but I think I'll have a better chance with Priceline)

Looking for a hotel from 1/8/10-1/10/10 precruise in the fort lauderdale area, we are flying in very late on 1/8/10

I am HOPING to find two rooms and HOPING to pay roughly $40 each per night. We will be four adults and one infant, so two rooms are necessary.

I want to be close to the cruise port as possible AND I am willing to pay more for the rooms if we can get a hotel that includes shuttle service.

Any suggestions? The cheapest hotels I'm finding on Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, kayak etc are around $100 per night (various areas in fort lauderdale) and the majority of these don't include transportation.

Is what I am looking for not possible to find? Any suggestions would be welcome, oh, and I'm not picky about star rating.

Rates for hotels around the port zones are high for these dates and i'm assuming that most of the $100 hotels you're referring to above are not located Downtown or near the Airport. What is the minimum star rating you're willing to accept for this stay?
