dstambou Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 First time using priceline or anything like this (I'm not from the States!).Booked this place for 5 nights in Feb. No idea if it's a good deal? Seems pretty reasonable to me.I imagine the room type is a "cozy queen" so it might get a bit squishy inside... hehLocation seems excellent, and it's 600m from the UN building where I'll be having a conference.Anyone else stayed here / can advise on if this is an ok buy?
AaronJB Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 Congratulations on your success and Welcome to Betterbidding! :)Glad that this hotel will work out well in terms of location! Certainly a fantastic deal, given that the lowest rate on the hotel website for these dates is $199.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links.Enjoy your stay.
thereuare Posted December 21, 2009 Report Posted December 21, 2009 This isn't the best hotel in the city, but at under $100/nite it's an excellent deal, made even better by the proximity to the location of your meetings at the U.N.I'll also throw in that you're near my often recommended breakfast location of Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St)... one of the best bagels in the city and makes for a good, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
dstambou Posted December 21, 2009 Author Report Posted December 21, 2009 Sounds great - I'm really looking forward to my stay now. I'm from Australia - so the States is a very very long time and distance away :)Thanks for the tip - will be sure to check it out!
