I would like to book a hotel in Newport Beach, specifically Fashion Island (preferably Marriott or The Island) and came up with a 4 start hotel on Hotwire. My travel dates are 12/23/09 - 12/24/09, 2 adults.

$69 - Newport Beach/Huntington Beach - 0.7 - 7.7 miles from 92660 - Fitness Center, Restaurants, Business Center, High Speed Internet, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, 4.8 miles to John Wayne Airport.

Any idea which hotel this is?

As i recently posted in another thread regarding this same offering:

If you change your search to 2adults/2children a 'new' 4* hotel appears in this zone for the same price. This new HOTWIRE offering shows: Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Golf, Tennis (notice the above is a sub-set of these amenities) and this matches the Hyatt Newport Beach so that would be my best guess for this one.

If you are interested in this property it would be better to purchase as 2adults/2children since that is the stronger match for previous reports of this property, and while i suspect it's the same property as your search above, i can't be certain.

The 3* property above has not yet been identified, but given that it is more expensive and a full star rating lower than the 4* first asked about, is there something in particular that you're looking for from this stay?

NOTE: similarly to the 4* above, if you change your search to 2adults/2children a 'new' 3* appears with:

Near Beach, Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry

This is a match for the Holiday Inn Express so that would be my best guess (slight possibility it could be the Best Western Newport Beach Inn, but the Holiday Inn Express is my first guess)
