Priceline Hotel: 5* Hong Kong (West Hong Kong Island) Conrad Hong Kong

I had a question about bidding. I want to bid on the east side of Hong Kong. There seems to be (2) 4* hotels in the area. one of them I do NOT want (harbour north point) the other one I do want (Crowne plaza). When I do the regular hotel search only the Crowne Plaza shows up as an available hotel. If I make a bid in this area is there a possibility that I can still get the hotel that I do NOT want (harbour northpoint)

You can't use the "retail" version of PRICELINE to determine what you will get thru the "name your own price" (opaque) version of PRICELINE. The two services use a different universe of hotels, and a hotel that participates in one side of their service does not necessarily participate in the other side of their service.

In light of the above, you could receive any 4* rated (or higher) hotel in the zone, regardless of whether or not it appears when searching the 'retail' section of the PRICELINE website. If you aren't willing to accept any hotel in the zone, then PRICELINE may not be the best option for this stay.

This is one of the very best hotels in Hong Kong and at that price, bargain is too mild to describe. Usually you get JW Marriott next door in Pacific Place through Priceline at around $165 and I would consider that a great price for a great hotel for Christmas/NY periods. If I even get Conrad for my next trip this time next year, I think I will have tears in my eyes with happiness.
