rpirebel Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Hi. I am looking for a hotel in the Theatre disctrict for Dec 27 and 28th in the 4 Star Category. I am looking to spend no more than 250 a night. Is this possible? I never used the name your own price feature before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
thereuare Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding! You have a chance at a 4* hotel in the Times Square zone for these dates, but is the only zone you're willing to accept? NYC is so compact, and the midtown zones so close together, and mass transit easily accessibel and relatively inexpensive, that most of the midtown zones usually work out fine for the typical visitor. Including more than one zone increases your chance of getting a great deal as it increases the number of hotels that are able to accept your bid. Of course if you're trying to target/avoid a hotel it's a different story. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, see this thread for our thougths regarding Hotels in Times Square. If you only want to bid the Times Square zone that's fine, but since you're new to PRICELINE i figured i'd add the above info first.Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases. AaronJB Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 I'd second recommending expanding your search to other areas - Midtown East and Midtown West are within easy (or at least relatively easy, depending where in the zone) access to TS, and hotel prices in both of those areas (especially MTE) are often cheaper than TS.
