Priceline Hotel: Help -- Cocoa Beach, Florida hotel

I need to book a hotel in Cocoa Beach for 1/18. I would like something about 3* preferably on the beach. I need a room for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) so I need 2 beds (preferably queen but could live with double).

I've read a lot of tips on how to use Priceline, but never actually bid before because I'm a bit overwhelmed. How do I get a room with 2 beds for all 4 of us? I think Priceline says I just have to request that in my note to the hotel. Is it likely I could get a non-smoking hotel room?

I tried clicking on the different regions around Cocoa Beach but could not figure out what star-level hotels are available in that particular area.

The only hotel I could find on hotwire in Cocoa Beach was a 2 1/2 * for $70. Selected amenities include: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool(s), Tennis Nearby, Laundry Facilities (self-service). Can you tell what hotel this is? There was also a or a 2* hotel with no description for $88. No listings were given for nearby Satellite Beach.

Can anyone give me tips on how much I should bid for a 3*? Should I just start with the Cocoa Beach zone?

I just won a 3* for Cocoa Beach for $55 at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront from 3/14-3/15. There are three hotels that have come up in the past for that zone: the Doubletree, the Hilton, and Holiday Inn. The other zone on Priceline for the Cocoa Beach area is Merrit Island with a 2.5*. There is no guarantee on bedding, but it's likely that a Holiday Inn will have no problem accomidating you with a two-bed room. Good luck!

You won't be able to guarantee a room with 2 beds thru Priceline, as they only guarantee double occupancy. You can either take the 'risk', book two rooms (often cheaper than one room direct), or as you mentioned above, try HOTWIRE.

However, i also found the Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach and the Hilton Cocoa Beach, each for $59/nite and will allow you to book 2 adults and 2 children for that price.

Great information! I just booked the Hilton Cocoa Beach (2 beds, 2 adults, 2 kids) for only $59 a night! $66 with taxes, using easyclicktravel.com. A great deal! Thanks so much for the advice!

So, how did you know you know the hotel description featured on easyclick was the Hilton?
