For 12/10, 1 night, there is a 4 star Central Park Area Hotel listed for $229 with 4 icons but no pool (so Empire is ouT). Any ideas what this could be? Thanks.

This appears to be the Empire. If you reference the latest New York Hotel list, it states that the POOL and SPA are not currently displayed by Hotwire do to renovations.

4* Empire Hotel

Amenities: Boutique, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Spa

(hotel is undergoing renovations, above amenities will likely come back 'online' but removed by hotwire as above not currently available)

OK now there is an Empire St bldg area 4 star with "boutique, comp breakfast, restaurant, business center and high speed internet" for $222 on 12/10. I wasscared away from the Empire. Any thoughts?
