3.5* Greenville-Spartanburg (Greenville) Hyatt Regency, $46 - 12/18/09-12/21/09

After my usual Better Bidding research I won the Hyatt Regency in downtown Greenville on my first bid of $46 using the BetterBidding PRICELINE link.

We are looking at moving to the area and wanted to spend a few days there on our way to NC for Christmas. I was ok with any 3.5* hotel (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, Crowne Plaza) in Greenville but not Spartanburg. There are 3-4 rebids but I played it safe with the higher starting bid. I do wonder if I left a few dollars on the table though. The rack rate for the room is $119 on 12/18-19 and $149 on 12/21. So I am happy with my $250 savings!!!

FYI - At first I only booked two nights. Priceline allowed me to add an additional night at the same rate.

As a bonus Greenville has a city-wide Christmas festival that weekend and the hotel is located in the heart of it.

Thanks again Better Bidding! I think my total savings are around $600+ to date from 4 different hotel stays. :)
