ballyk Posted December 8, 2009 Report Posted December 8, 2009 I am considering using HOTWIRE to book a room (yes I will use this site :) )I am staying in Toronto for one night July 3, 2010. I will be going to the U2 concert and want to be downtown and spend as little as possible for the room. There will be two of us and I have read the facts regarding the number of beds. I am a female willing to share a room with an unrelated male but not a bed. I am wondering if Hotwire/Priceline are for me. I did put in 4 adults to insure 2 beds but it really affected the rate and choices. Suggestions in general since I will be doing the same for Montreal, Chicago and Quebec and specific to Toronto will be appreciated. Thank you.

ballyk Posted December 8, 2009 Author Report Posted December 8, 2009 I did try that and there was a 3 1/2 star Toronto east hotel that stayed the same. I am using the Hotwire list to identify hotels and there are only 2 of the 3 1/2 listed. I went to the hotel web sites hoping that rating would not have single queen rooms. One of them may work but the other says a single queen room could acomodate 3 people which doesn't really solve the problem.

ballyk Posted December 8, 2009 Author Report Posted December 8, 2009 Thank you. That is a good point. I had just read some of the stories from other people about the difficulties with the number of beds. I want to save money but not ruin my trip.
