jsd Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Amenities for this hotel were resort, beachfront, casino, pool, restaurant, business center, laundry, internet. Didn't include tennis so was wondering which resort this might be. Also, this came up when I requested one room with 2 adults, 2 children, but not with any other combination of 4 people. Do you know why that would be? I have plenty of time to book, but am trying to become familiar with the HOTWIRE site. Thanks!

jsd Posted December 7, 2009 Author Report Posted December 7, 2009 Yes, it shows tennis available and spa services.
AaronJB Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Good morning and Happy Holidays! :)This would be a likely match for the Intercontinental. In some instances, hotels will only appear for a search of two in the room, as their agreement with HOTWIRE is only for double/2 occupancy. It is not uncommon - especially in larger markets - to see one hotel appear when searching for two people and a different hotel when searching for four in the room. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
jsd Posted December 7, 2009 Author Report Posted December 7, 2009 Thanks - I thought it might be the Intercontinental. I'm going with my husband and 2 daughters who will be 21 and 17. I originally searched for 3 adults and 1 child (since the cutoff age for "child" is 17) and no resorts came up, same when searching for 4 adults. When I put in 2 adults, 2 children, there it was! I'm not sure what the difference is since we'd need 2 beds no matter what. Will it matter that one is officially an adult?
thereuare Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 The above matches previous reports for the Inter-Continental so that would be my best guess.I wouldn't worry too much about the age/children issue at this property, especially if your kids look young for their age... but this is a decision that you have to feel comfortable with yourself. The hotel is fairly large, so to be on the safe side i would just have the 2 adults (or one spouse and one child) go to the front desk at check-in while the other two wonder around the lobby and/or explore the rest of the property. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. jsd Posted December 7, 2009 Author Report Posted December 7, 2009 I just booked this through the HOTWIRE link. It was the Intercontinental. When checking other sites for prices, most didn't even ask ages, just how many people would be in the room, so the extra "adult" shouldn't matter. I might have gotten a better price if I'd waited longer, but I'm happy with this! Thanks for all the help!
AaronJB Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Congratulations on your success and Happy Holidays! :)Superb deal for this beautiful San Juan property! Glad you are pleased with the results.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's HOTWIRE link.Enjoy your stay.
