Priceline Hotel: First or second week of Jan better?

Hello, I'm thinking of booking a trip in NYC either Jan 6/7 or Jan 13/14 which week do you think I'd be more likely to get a good room i.e., 4 star hotel. I ask because I wonder if hotels will be really booked up still from the holidays the first week of Jan and I'm better off going for the second.

January is generally a slower time period in NYC, and the first week is slower after the busy NYE time period. Prices do look a tad better in some instances on the 13th-15th than the 6th-8th, but prices at most hotels on these dates seem similar.
