brooklyn boy Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 Hello, I'm thinking of booking a trip in NYC either Jan 6/7 or Jan 13/14 which week do you think I'd be more likely to get a good room i.e., 4 star hotel. I ask because I wonder if hotels will be really booked up still from the holidays the first week of Jan and I'm better off going for the second. Thanks! Jerry
AaronJB Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 January is generally a slower time period in NYC, and the first week is slower after the busy NYE time period. Prices do look a tad better in some instances on the 13th-15th than the 6th-8th, but prices at most hotels on these dates seem similar.Let us know which dates you would prefer and desired star rating/area/budget and we would be happy to offer assistance.Additionally, did you ever make a purchase after the discussion in this Priceline NYC thread, or were you inquiring about the area? Please follow-up in that thread if you did make a purchase, thanks. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
