Hotwire Hotel: 4* Fort Lauderdale (Hollywood Beach) Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach

I am new to this so I hope I am doing this right. I clicked on the link from your site for Hotwire and was interested in staying in Hollywood, FL from 12/17-12/19, 2009

can you please help me with identifying this hotel:

4* $74/night Hollywood Beach, FL

Amenities:

Resort

near beach

smoke free rooms

fitness center

pools

restaurant

high speed internet

Golf

Area details: Palm tree lined streets, swank development and ocean views. 4.9 miles to FLL 18.9 to MIA

Also when I clicked searching in another window, the area details were different and stated- "Stroll the 1920's district, play golf at the diplomat or bet on a horse and dog racing. If I had to chose which one was for the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa, which should I go with the first or second area description? Thank you!

I am hoping it is the Westin Diplomat but havent seen anything posted on your site for that low. Any help in identifying this would be great! THank you so much!

The descriptions you mention above are for the area/region and not for the specific hotel you're being offered.

As per the Hotwire Hotel List, the star rating and amenities above match what has previously been reported for both the Crowne Plaza Sian Resort and the Westin Diplomat, so either of these would be my best guess.

I went through with the purchase using your HOTWIRE link after reading all the postings from various other people with the same findingsm and it looked like everyone got the Westin Diplomat. I was very excited and crossed my fingers but....I have to say I am slightly disappointed that I got the Crown Plaza Resort in Hollywood. I was really hoping for the Westin Diplomat since it was the same price and much more upscale! I cant be too disappointed though, because this was the original hotel I was going to book but at a higher price! So I still WON! :)

Thank you very much for your site! I will use you guys more often and tell others. I am not as scared to use Hotwire and Priceline with you guys. THANK YOU!

PS do you know if there is a certain time of day or day that we should book to get the better deal.... like booking a certain time to increase my chances in getting the Westin Diplomat?
