reppin_the_847 Posted December 7, 2009 Report Posted December 7, 2009 I tried Priceline attempts at $30 & $32 for the Novi region (3-stars and above on the first request, 2.5 stars and above on the 2nd request). Both requests got rejected. After the $30 attempt, the system attempted to offer me a guaranteed offer for just $8 more ($38 before fees rather than the $30 that I bidded). I decided not to fall for their tease. I then attempted a bid at $33 with a different credit card, but the system had recognized that I had previously made bidding requests during the same day, so I was rejected. I then had a friend put in the same $33 request, and it worked like a charm on the first shot. We got the fantastic Residence Inn by Marriott located in Novi. Taxes and fees added up to $10.88, so out the door we paid $43.88. Overall, this was an excellent deal, and we were extremely pleased with some of the hotel's amenities such as free wi-fi, plenty of square footage, and a pretty complete kitchen setup!
