Our family had 4 rooms for 2 nights at this hotel for a winning Priceline bid of $39. We were extremely happy with our experience at this Amerisuites, from check-in to check-out. The staff members were friendly and helpful, the pool was warm, the hot tub was hot, the rooms and public areas clean, and the free breakfast buffet excellent. Not a fancy place, but homey and comfortable and perfect for a relaxing family get-a-way. We couldn't have asked for more. I called a few days in advance and requested suites with 2 beds, located near each other in the hotel; both requests were cheerfully granted. Each suite had a living area with fold-out couch and TV, a kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, and sink, a nice sized bathroom, and a sleeping area with 2 double beds and another TV.

:) Hotel report.....

Well I'm filing this from the room at Amerisuites so the free wireless works.

Rooms are clean but show a small amount of wear. It is quiet despite being adjacent to I-96. beds are slightly soft (doesn't bother me but my wife is feeling it in her lower back).

Good place if you have kids as there are two TV's in two separate rooms. So putting the little ones to bed and still watching TV at night is not a problem like most hotel rooms (plus I don't have to watch cartoon network all the time).

The breakfast is buffet style with the usual variety of danish and bagels. There is 4 types of cereals, juice, scrambled eggs and sausage patties. You can also make fresh waffles. On weekdays breakfast is served 6-9, on weekends it is 7-10. I'd give it a $6 value per person.

Did not check out the fitness room or pool but both are indoors.

Lots of nearby places to eat (the Grand Rapids Brew House about 2 miles west is great!) to fit any budget. There is a Meiers supermarket next door as well.

Finding it is a bit of a trick though - go east from I-96 and enter the Meiers parking lot, the hotel is at the back left of the parking area. I drove by it twice before finding the small sign.

For $40 I have no complaints at all, especially since the Red Roof next door gets $48 and the Motel 6 down the street advertises $35 for one. The folks staying there really need to get a clue and start bidding.
