DrXact
Looking for Resort accommodations for family of 6 (2 adults/4 kids). Considering bidding for 2 rooms at Resort level (Ka'anapali - Lahaina Area). Any suggestions for a good bid or what resorts I might get? This is my first time using Priceline. Thanks. Link to comment
bbbb
Please post your travel dates so we may help you. Hotels that have come up for this area are the Hyatt Regency,Sheraton, Westin Maui Resort and Spa. I have not seen any of them go for less then $140 a night in a long time and thats when there slow or last minute bids. Link to comment

thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding!Unfortunately, I would not expect this to be a slow time.... As i often say, "When you're stuck in traffic... just remember your part of the problem! :) Now that we know your dates, did you have a maximum bid in mind? thereuare
OK, you have two re-bid zones available when bidding the Resort level. If you're not familiar with re-bidding (since it's your first time using Priceline) please read this thread: RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED and ask any questions that you may have. You should also feel free to confirm the two re-bid zones with the board to reduce the chance of a mistake. This is how i would proceed:Select Resort and (Ka'anapali-Lahaina)Bid $160, if rjected add re-bid zone1 and...Bid $170.If rejected, close that browser and re-access Priceline however you did previously.Select Resort and (Ka'anapali-Lahaina) and re-bid zone2Bid $180, if rejected add re-bid zone 1 and...Bid $190.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. Again, any questions (or to confirm your re-bid zones) feel free to ask before bidding. modelvirus
Question...how come you would close the window and start the bid again with zone 2 and then reb-id with zone 1? is that allowed? Thanks! Link to comment
thereuare
It gives an extra re-bid zone.Example:Bid zone wantedAdd re-bid zone1Add re-bid zone2Total: 3 bidsBid zone wantedAdd re-bid zone1close and bid zone wanted and re-bid zone2Add re-bid zone1Total: 4 bidsIf you bid as the second method above none of the bids will be treated as duplicates.
