Priceline Hotel: 3* Pittsburgh (University Center) Holiday Inn Select

Winning bid for Pittsburgh..University Area

Did it on PRICELINE for two nights..Nov. 30-Dec. 2

First Bid was for 3* 50.00 Not Accepted

Second Bid was 3* 55.00 but had to add 2.5* option Accepted

Got 3* Holiday Inn on Lytton Ave which was first preference as they run shuttles to all hospitals (which was purpose of trip)

Holiday Inn goes for 149.95 per night.

Also was successful for this hotel at the end of Sept. for 55.00 per night but didn't post then as I just found this site a few weeks ago.

Do note that you have TWO re-bid zones when bidding for a 3* hotel in the Pittsburgh area, so you didn't need to lower your star rating when you raised your bid, instead you coudl have used your re-bid zone(s). If you're not familiar with re-bidding, please see Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask any questions you may have (and certainly confirm your re-bid zones with the board if you use this technique in the future)
