Dalm0m Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 I know it's subjective but we're on a budget. We need a hotel for 1 night pre-cruise in early Jan 2010. I've seen full price rooms by the AP for way under $100. Two stars is fine (would prefer 3). We'd like to be able to walk to nightlife & possibly by a beach. I've seen 2 stars for around $100 in Miami beach. I'm off to tripadvisor to learn more about them. What location should I pick for bidding? I've been being silly & bidding $50 for 4 stars ocean front in Miami beach. I don't want to save a lot then blow it on transportation to dinner & the port. What are your recomendations?

Dalm0m Posted November 29, 2009 Author Report Posted November 29, 2009 I won the Downtown Hilton today for $59.00. Other websites have the room as being $209 per night or $249 for the snooze & cruise which includes breakfast & transportation to the pier. For $40 we'll walk a few blocks to get bagels & take a cab. If the Key Biscayne Bridge had reasl sidewalks with rails like the GWB in NYC, we'd walk; it's less than a mile. I was rejected at that Price in Septmeber & October.
