lobomojo Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 It seems the hotel rates are peaking Dec 3-6, anything special other than seasonal occurring?Do you think I have a chance of getting a 3*+ for 150 or less? Prefer downtown or midtown but anywhere on the island is acceptable?Next choice, any ideas on a price and plan to get the Marriott or Holiday Express on Union in Brooklyn as a second choice rout?thanks
thereuare Posted November 26, 2009 Report Posted November 26, 2009 I don't konw of anything else happening these dates, but there doesn't need to be anything else, as seasonally it's one of the busiest weekends of the year. You can try your 3* bidding up to $150, but i'd be very surprised if you were successful. Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.Let us know whatever you decide to do for this stay or if we can be of further help. lobomojo Posted November 28, 2009 Author Report Posted November 28, 2009 Using the PRICELINE link from here, I bid $66 for a 4* Downtown and got the notice to immediately bid $17 higher which I did and got the Hyatt Regency at Penns Landing for $83($103 with tax) for 2 Dec 09. Happy with the result. Thanks for this site as alwaysedit/update; As my initial would let me extend only to Friday and we decided to stay in Philly Friday night also instead of NY, I bid $66 for Friday night and won on first bid at Hyatt still and then was able to extend for Thursday night on that latter deal, 3-5 Dec. 09 at $66($83.35 with tax)
AaronJB Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Congratulations on your success. :)Stellar deal for this Philly property - glad you are pleased with the results! Please start a new thread for the other part of your stay. Thanks. Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay.
