hopeC12 Posted November 27, 2009 Report Posted November 27, 2009 Does anybody know anything about Priceline's Toronto West zone? It's listed as #12 on their map, and it's around High Park. Just from google searching hotels in that area it seems like the only one is "Four Points by Sheraton Toronto Lakeshore", but I haven't seen any mention of that one or the area on the forums. Thanks for your help.

hopeC12 Posted November 28, 2009 Author Report Posted November 28, 2009 Thank you. I wonder if that zone is new on Priceline? Hotwire doesn't seem to have any coverage in that same area. Anyway, what I need is a hotel room for two for Dec. 25-Jan 1st. Preferably in or near downtown Toronto so we can use public transit or walk. I'm hoping to spend less than $60 a night if that's possible. Thanks for the assistance.

hopeC12 Posted December 2, 2009 Author Report Posted December 2, 2009 Thank you for your help. I decided against downtown afterall, since the extra fees for parking and internet at many of the downtown hotels make it too expensive. I did try bidding downtown up to $60 for 4* (then 3.5, then even 3) with my original dates (Dec 26th-Jan 1st). All rejected. I think I was turned down because the last night included New Years and all the hotels seem to be a lot more expensive that day. I ended up getting the Four Points By Sheraton Toronto Lakeshore for $55 (+10 taxes/fees) per night for Dec. 26-31. I actually started at that, so maybe you could get even lower. This is a 3 star hotel in the Toronto West zone (not in downtown, but kinda close). They have free internet and parking too! Btw, they also wouldn't accept my bid when it included New Years (with even higher bids). Should I re-post this priceline win in a different part of the forum for other people's use? Thanks again.
AaronJB Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Looks like a pretty Toronto area 4 Points. :) Glad you are pleased with the results.
