nordicoliver Posted November 30, 2009 Report Posted November 30, 2009 Someone is smoking something funny here--this hotel was horrible. Hotwire was (so-far) horrible about standing behind their three-star rating. That, I suppose on a one to ten scale could possibly be true, the bed was at least lined in plastic to hold back the bedbugs. Stay here only with a large bottle of liquor and prescription meds.

horan21 Posted December 2, 2009 Author Report Posted December 2, 2009 do not under any circumstances book this property. Moldy pillow, stains on sheets. The guy gave us a room with some else in it. (evidently the person was poaching the room). Hotwire wasn't much help either. We weren't going to stay there under any circumstances. I tried to get Hotwire to book me another hotel. (They did finally refund the hotel, but would only book me another room through there website. So in the end ended up spending more money for a 2* hotel (Days Inn). THere was nothing wrong with the Days Inn except that I got suckered into spending nearly $60 for a room.Is there any recourse with HOTWIRE? who can I write? The customer service the night of the event was horrible
thereuare Posted December 3, 2009 Report Posted December 3, 2009 Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay.HOTWIRE refunded your stay (and will likely re-evaluate the star rating of this property)... what more do you expect? As HOTWIRE doesn't own hotel inventory, there isn't too much they could do other than offer to re-book you thru their website based upon inventory and prices that were available at that time. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
horan21 Posted December 4, 2009 Author Report Posted December 4, 2009 I read some reviews of the place before I left and wrote customer service to ask about the place. They wrote back and "assured" me that this hotel meets the 3 star criteria. Again we weren't talking about being annoyed by the cleaning staff, or not having enough towels. We are talking about black bugs between the sheets, condom wrappers next to the TV, a pillow that was black with mildew and covered with a stained pillow case. I expected them to find me another hotel and if there was a difference in price to cover that difference. Then maybe a $25 credit for lieing to me before the trip and the inconvience of wasting my evening during vacation. What I got was a bait and switch scenario.
