Hotwire Hotel: 4* Florida Keys (Key West) The Reach Resort

I just booked "The Reach Resort - The Waldorf-Astoria Collection" for $129 + tax, fees etc.

The amenities were as follows:

Beachfront, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-speed Internet Access, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services.

I can't say I'm terribly happy because I was hoping for the Hyatt, though I have never seen the Reach Resort in person. It does look good on the website, and it is a pretty good location. The only problem is, that resort is currently booking straight through their own website at $149, without recovery charges, but +tax. Also, know that there is a resort fee at this place of $22 per day.

I'll let you all know how it turns out.

I think the Reach is a great hotel. It underwent extensive renovations recently, so it will be even better now than a few years ago. It is in a beautiful setting and has more of a real beach and resort feel than the Hyatt. You can easily watch the sunset from the pier at the quiet end of Duval, which is only a couple of blocks from the Reach.
