Hi,

I am new here and have been browsing through this forum for a few hours. I have found lots of good info here; thanks!! I do have a question as I have never used the Priceline feature of naming your own price. I am going to Vegas the 1st weekend in Dec. and I just put in $45.00/night for a 5* hotel in the North Strip vicinity and the price was accepted. Is this for real?? Sorry for the dumb ??? but do you really get a 5* for that price?

Thanks.... :)

Welcome to BetterBidding!

My guess is that the price was NOT accepted. More than likely you're looking at the "review" page where you should review the details of your submission. If you look at the bottom of the page you're refering to, do you see a button "Buy My Hotel Room Now"? If so, you have not yet submitted your bid, nor has PRICELINE looked to see if the price will be enough, you're simply at the "review the details to make sure everything is correct" before you submit the bid.

If you are accepted, you'll be shown the name of the hotel you received... if you haven't been told the hotel at this point, then you probably haven't submitted the bid.

If you would like help with this stay please let us know the actual dates of your stay and your maximum bid (NOTE: we've never seen a 5* hotel in this zone accepted at $45)
