Erika S Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 This forum is fantastic, & I hope someone can help me here. When I do a search for 12/26-12/30, 2 adults, I get this:Downtown New Orleans$644*fitness roompoolrestaurantbusiness centerinternetWhen I do a search for 12/26-12/30, 2 adults plus 1 child, I get this:Downtown New Orleans$594*fitness roompoolrestaurantbusiness centerinternetIn neither case am I getting a TA star rating (can someone tell me where that would be found, or are they not always present?)Prior posts would imply that this may be the Intercontinental (or so I hope), but the lower price for adding a child is baffling me. There will be no children with us on this trip, but I'm tempted to book the lower rate for obvious reasons. Is there any chance that this 4* in downtown is NOT the Intercontinental?(and oh yes, I'll be using the HOTWIRE link from the forum to book! :) )Thanks!Erika
AaronJB Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 The Sheraton and Intercontinental have both been reported with this amenity set. The TA rating is not always showing. Given the difference in price, two different hotels may be showing, but unfortunately, there's no way to know exactly which is which. The Sheraton, however, is $64.35 (35% off sale - reg rate is $99) via Orbitz.com.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.
thereuare Posted November 22, 2009 Report Posted November 22, 2009 It's not uncommon for HOTWIRE rates to change by a few dollars from one search to the next... i'd speculate that the two hotels above are the same, and that the rate for each could easily be reversed on a future search. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
