waterfly Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 I have used PRICELINE and have been very happy with the deals I have gotten. I am taking a trip to Paris Dec. 2-Dec. 5 with 2 other friends. We would like to get a hotel room with sleeping space for all 3 of us. I have learned that you take your chances on bidding with PRICELINE, regarding a special request for a triple room. I am not sure that the french would be so accomodating. It was suggested in an earlier post to use hotwire and specify 3 people in our party. Can you do a "name your own price" with HOTWIRE, or is it the listed price only? any suggestions on how to go about finding a deal would be appreciated! And as always, I use the links from this site. Thanks, kelly
AaronJB Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 HOTWIRE is listed price only. As you noted, there is the possibility of getting a room for 3 on PRICELINE, but it is unlikely in some major cities, especially with smaller hotel rooms.I would put 2 adults and 1 child on HOTWIRE when searching.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links, and let us know if you have any questions.
thereuare Posted November 20, 2009 Report Posted November 20, 2009 In Europe i would really try to find something that appeared when searching for 3 adults (vs. 2adults/1child) as i think your chances of "getting away with it" are a little less likely than when in the States (ie- smaller lobbies where harder to 'hide' the 3rd adult, smaller hotels where same staff more likely to see you coming/going, etc)And as always, I use the links from this site. Thanks for using our PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links for your purchases... please also begin to share your wins with the board so that the information can help other users. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
