Otter7 Posted November 19, 2009 Report Posted November 19, 2009 Didn't expect to get it, but I thought I'd give it a try. I can stay with family in Berlin, but I'd rather have my own (nice) bed there. I can stay in any of the four zones in Berlin and I can settle for a 4*. I'm not going to go much higher than this for a 5* and I know I probably will end up in a 4. I see someone got the Marriott Berlin 5* for a single night on 12/16/09 at $86. I can go about $70 (per night) for four nights in a 5*. At Hotwire for these dates a 5* is $111 and a 4* is $51. I figure I shouldn't pay more than $40 for a 4*, but I want to be careful because 4* are much more likely to have unpredictable quality.

Otter7 Posted November 21, 2009 Author Report Posted November 21, 2009 Tried bidding in all areas of Berlin for a 5* at $67, a 4* at $40 and a 3* for $32 for 12/17 to 12/22, rejected on all. Will try again tomorrow. I have decided I will not go above $450 including all fees for 5 nights in a 5* and will not go above $300 including all fees for a 4*. I think I would not bid much more than I already have for a 3*. Is there any way to know what the possible 3*'s and 4*'s are in the different areas?
AaronJB Posted November 21, 2009 Report Posted November 21, 2009 This Priceline Hotel List contains the PRICELINE hotels that have been reported to the board in the area. There could be other/unknown/unreported properties.
