I actually started bidding for Ann Arbor. I tried numerous combinations of 3*, 2.5* and 2*. I topped out at 50 for a 3, but went down to 2.5 and then 2(35.00). I figured there must be a game going on at U of M since the median price for a 3 was quoted as 249.00. I also looked at the Hampton Inn website( my prefered hotel in Ann Arbor) and that was the exact price.

I decided to just stay at the airport and commute to Ann Arbor( for shopping and eating out). Its not that far and I could get a better room. I started my bidding at 35.00, received the 9$ counteroffer but rejected that. I closed out the browser, started again and added Taylor Southgate( there are no 3* in that area). I raised the bid to 39.00 and was succesful.

This Saturday isn't just "a game" going on it's the Ohio State vs. Michigan game, and while Michigan has not been playing well this year, it's still one of the biggest rivalries in college sports and you should expect Ann Arbor to be packed. Unless you want to see all the craziness surrounding the city (which is fun in itself) best to arrive a little after kickoff at which will give you the best chance to get into a local restaurant/shop as most will already be at the game. After the game expect HUGE crowds of people to flood the streets, restaurants, etc.

Oh great!! What time is kick-off? We mostly stay away from downtown. We usually shop by the mall, arborland, etc. It will probably be best for me to hit Trader Joe's on Sunday before we leave since that is close to the stadium.
