Keoni
MSSLATS, Congrats on the impending nuptuals and Hawaii is the bestplace in the world for a honeymoon! In addition to knowing pricelimits/expectations, and star level, what types of activities do youthink you might be interested in? Each island has something different to offer yet share the commonality of great beach/ocean areas. Many folks have the desire to return home and be able to report to friends and family they did the traditional tourist things such as luau,Pearl Harbor tour and Arizona memorial, twilight dinner cruise, Palilookout, circle island bus tour, Dole Pineapple Plantation, etc, etc, etc... Others just want to spend their time tanning and enjoying theslow pace of the outer islands (Maui, Kauai). My info is a little datedbut trends are still the same and if you are seeking nightlife outsidea hotel complex, too many restaurants to count, and lots and lotsof people and activities then for sure Waikiki is where you will want tospend some time. Four or Five years ago the population of the entirestate was 1.1 million people of which >800,000 lived on the islandof Oahu which is where Honolulu and Waikiki Beach are located. Mypoint is there are lots of folks for such a small area and the trafficin and around Waikiki will rival any major city. Are you planning to renta car at any or all of the stops? We have plenty of time before your visit so we should be able tohelp you with the experience of a lifetime. You mentioned FF miles. Will you be using one airline to get to Hawaii from the mainland and then an interisland carrier, or will allflights be on the same carrier? In light of that, will you be coming into Honolulu, or Maui and from where? I appologize for all the questions but there are so many options itis tough to figure out where to begin. Regards, Keoni :) Link to comment
msslats
We confirmed our flights. Leaving Philadelphia 9/5 to Kauai. Leaving Maui 9/18. The rest is still open. Currently planning on 5 nights in Kauai, 3 nights in Honolulu and the last 5 in Maui. We need to do inter island flights later. We want almost the best for the least, but do want oceanfront all the way. I think that Kauai-northern, like Princeville, on Maui, maybe Kanaapali. We want to do some tourist things and a car, in our opinion, is not necessary, but we will rent if needed.Suggestions welcome.msslats Link to comment
