Hotwire Hotel: Ft Lauderdale (Las Olas-Downtown-Port Everglades) Riverside

I just used Hotwire (through this site of course) to book this hotel for tonight, Thursday Nov 12th. It was Riverside Hotel at $69 + $13.93 tax. The rack rate was $229. Thanks Betterbidding!

The room was in the original (older) part of the hotel and had been modernized. Bed was comfortable, room very clean, nicely furnished. Room was on second floor immediately above the rear entrance to the hotel and the valet parking station so was somewhat noisy. A/C was a wall mounted unit and it too was quite noisy, but effective. Excellent friendly and helpful hotel staff. Overnight parking was a bit steep at $23 per night.

Hotel very well located in upscale business district. We had a fabulous dinner in the St Tropez Restaurant (French cuisine - duh) a couple of blocks to the east of the hotel.

Overall, well worth the money.
