Is that doable?
yellowdog Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 What star rating and zone are you thinking about? The inventory is allready low and expesive. I would act very fast.Yellowdog.
AaronJB Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 $250 is unlikely for Midtown for a 3.5/4*, as many hotels are already sold out on this date or are showing rates at $450-600.You could definitely try bidding $250 for a 3.5*/4* first in the Midtown zones. While a win at that price point for NYE in any of the Midtown zones is unlikely, there's always the potential for a surprise with PRICELINE. $250 for a 3.5*/4 is a little more likely in the downtown zone, but that's definitely a ways South and probably not where you want to be if you're coming for NYE only.If that's no go, then...Expedia has the Edison Hotel in Midtown for $259. It's basic, but it is a hotel in Midtown for these dates, and that property has not yet been reported as being a participant on HOTWIRE or PRICELINE.Please use the site's Expedia.com, PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links.
dstepansky Posted March 11, 2010 Author Report Posted March 11, 2010 If i remember correctly, I happened to received a $75 gift certificate and used it on the hotel stay over New Years Eve. I think I paid around $150 give or take. The prices were fairly low because this hotel was under renovation, however I didn't see one sign of that over the stay. Very satisfied with hotel.
