AaronJB Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 If by the first one you mean 4* NMA/WT/GC, then it's likely the Allerton. There's no reason to stay in the Museum Campus area, which would be quite inconvenient. The 4.5* Mag Mile/Streeterville would likely be either the Intercontinental or Conrad, not the others.Wouldn't recommend 71 or the Tremont.Personally, I'd go for the 4* Mag Mile, as those possible hotels are along the river, making for a somewhat easier from Union Station and easy access to Michigan Ave. The 4.5* Mag Mile/Streeterville would also be an excellent choice, as either of those possibilities are directly on Michigan Ave. and right near the river. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase.

Thanks for the quick answer, I appreciate it :)

Thanks for the quick answer, I appreciate it :)Personally, I think either of these will work well from a location/hotel standpoint. The 4.5* would be a nice choice for a bit of an upgrade for $14 more (and again, either of those hotels are directly on Michigan Ave.). Otherwise, for one night the 4* will work just fine.Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE link, and please let us know the results. Thanks :)

I will recommend she use this site to do it and I will report what she gets when she does.
AaronJB Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 If she has never been to Chicago for shopping, I'd also recommend spending some time on State St; there are some more bargains to be found there in stores like Nordstrom Rack. Michigan Ave. is arguably the most well-known area, but State St has some worthwhile shopping, as well.

I was focused in on helping her with a Hotwire hotel. She and her daughter are definetly bargin shoppers --as I am :)Thanks again!
