jimbo4584 Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 I have never used priceline or hotwire but wanted to look into using when going to LA in December. I am looking for these areas with 4 star and around $100 would be good for a price. Dates are 12/4-12/6. Any first timer instructions would be appreciated... what to expect? where to start bidding? start with just one area? THANKS.4 starDates are 12/4-12/6.Beverly Hills - West Hollywood or Brentwood - Westwood$100?
AaronJB Posted November 11, 2009 Report Posted November 11, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)This is a list of PRICELINE properties for California that have been reported to the board, to give you an idea of what you may expect. You can bid on one area at a time or use rebidding, which is explained in greater detail at this link: Priceline Re-Bidding ExplainedRe-bidding is popular, but is complicated enough to make some first-time users understandably a little nervous.I'd start at $90 to bid on a 4* in either of these areas, but you may have to go up to $100 +/-.Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links.
jimbo4584 Posted November 16, 2009 Author Report Posted November 16, 2009 Thanks for the info...started at $90 w/ $5 increments ended up getting $105 Beverly Hilton for 12/4-12/6. Works for me. Re-bidding was painless but I was scared some thing crazy would happen and i would get booked far from where I wanted. Used your PRICELINE link too.
thereuare Posted November 16, 2009 Report Posted November 16, 2009 Congratulations on your success!Glad to see it went well and that you're happy with the results... the more you bid the easier the process will become, but for many of us there is still the slight bit of anxiety every time we click the "Buy My Hotel Room" now button :)Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using our PRICELINE link to begin your bidding.Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
