Needed an extra room at the same hotel I had already bid $35/night for 12/25-12/27 in a previous post. I bid this about 12+ hours before check in. I started $34 and was countered to add $9. Then used Appleton also at 2.5* level (Appleton is NOT a rebid..but hotels are usually much higher priced there- and worse case I would have stayed there) and bid $36- denied...no counter offer.

I then had my husband bid $37 for 2.5* in Neenah, it was declined and an offer to raise my bid $10 appeared! I was a bit worried at this point, but upped my last and final bid to $39 and added Appleton 2.5* and hit the hotel I wanted in the first place. Finally :)

Here is a case where if I had bid this hotel a bit earlier, and not last minute I could have most likely saved a few dollars...if I had only known I would have needed another room!
