I'm in bad shape :). We are travelling to NYC first time for 5-nights

12/31 - ?

01/01 - ?

01/02 - GTA Hotels - Grand Hyatt $221

01/03 - priceline - Grand Hyatt $163

01/04 - GTA Hotels - Grand Hyatt $221

I started testing out prices on priceline for one night on 01/03 and got Grand Hyatt for $163 ($130 bid). Then, I was going to extend my stay for a night before and after. Unfortunately, priceline does not have other nights available for Grand Hyatt. So, for continuity sake I got 2 extra nights thru GTA Hotels.com (cheapest). I should have started by bidding last 3-nights together and maybe have gotten another hotel for cheaper than what I am paying right now. I am assuming there is no way to fix this as priceline has no refund policy. I can still cancel my reservation at GTA Hotels for full refund.

Now, to the most expensive nights 12/31 and 01/01 (2-nights) - I cannot find anything cheap in MTE/MTW thru priceline or other sites. We are NOT planning on going to New Years eve celebration, but we want to stay in an area with subway access. What is going to be the cheapest area on these nights for a 4-3.5 hotel? Please help. We will be flying to LaGuardia.
