yellowdog Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Welcome to BetterBidding :) This is a match for both Westin Diplomat and Crown Plaza Beach Resort. For the moment is there no way to separate the hotels. So you should have an open mind for both. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link to start your purchase, and let us know how it goes.Yellowdog.

On Trip Advisor, Crowne Plaza is listed as a 3.5* hotel, but I guess that is not the case with Hotwire classifications?I'm not sure I'm willing to stay at the Crowne Plaza so I might just book a small mom and pop hotel on the broadwalk. I'll be sure to report back with what I decide!

ahanson Posted November 8, 2009 Author Report Posted November 8, 2009 No, it's not the same thing.Just post if you have any further questions.Yellowdog.Hmmm. When I click on the hotel details in Hotwire it shows examples of 3.5* hotels, and Crowne Plaza is one of those. Classic 3.5-star hotels These classic, polished hotels feature an excellent service level with quality amenities found at better hotels. They usually offer:■A well-known, on-site restaurant■Large, quality rooms■Room service■Health and fitness center■Business administrative centerThese properties are frequently located near convention centers and attractions. Our 3.5-star hotel suppliers include (icons for Hilton, Millenium, and Crowne Plaza)and other respected hotel brands. But you think that in Hollywood Beach Crowne Plaza might be considered at 4*?
AaronJB Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 The same chain can have many different locations that vary in star ratings. There are 3*, 3.5* and some 4* Crowne Plazas. This is relatively common (La Quinta's another example that comes to mind, and there are Sheratons and Hiltons that vary in star rating.)
