Priceline Hotel: 3.5* Toronto (Downtown North) Delta Chelsea

I needed something very last minute. I was going to arrive in Toronto the next day and tried the following:

bid 4* Downtown South from $60, $64, $69, and $72 in a 2 day span, using Brampton as a free-rebid zone...rejected

I was quite surprised considering people were getting the Sheraton between $60-65.

I ran out of options because I didn't know of any other free rebid zones.

I then bid $55 on 3.5* Downtown North...accepted...Delta Chelsea

The lesson here is if you are bidding for a Toronto 4*, you may not get the very best deal if booked the night before you arrive at the hotel. At least this is what I experienced. Hope this helps.

Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $55.00 (USD)

Number of Rooms: 1

Number of Nights: 1

Room Subtotal: $55.00 (USD)

Taxes and Fees: $14.83 (USD)

Total Room Cost: $69.83 (USD)

Hi rmdeng,

Smart move with adding Brampton. I just got the Sheraton at $61 in one try and I needed it for tonight. I really believe it's about availability. If there are less or no rooms at the Sheraton, the price will go up. They can then push other properties.

My father in law stayed at the Delta Chelsea about a month ago and I heard some good things :). Enjoy your stay.
