theruleofthree Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Hello All,Just stumbled upon this site in the middle of my search - I hope you all can help me!I'd like to take my wife to Vegas next week. We would arrive on 11/13 and check out the morning of 11/15. I'd like to stay as close to the Luxor as possible while paying $100 or less a night. Obviously the more stars the better , a 4 star would be perfect. Unfortunately because its a fight weekend it seems that these particular nights are inflated everywhere.Anyway... any advice? Would I get lucky if I bid $100 on Priceline for a four star?
AaronJB Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)There is a 4* in the Near Strip South area on HOTWIRE for $99. My guess is that this is the well-reviewed South Point Hotel. Given the rates that I'm seeing, a 4* in the South Strip zone only for $100 is certainly worth trying, but given the rates I'm seeing on these dates for the 4*'s that have been reported as participating in this zone, it may not be realistic. Some of the other areas (downtown, Near Strip East) seem more reasonable. Orbitz has the Golden Nugget for $94 (coupon code FABSAVE10 takes another 10% off) w/lots of bonuses/freebies. FABSAVE10 should also work on many other Vegas properties. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE or Orbitz.com links to start your purchase.
