Priceline Hotel: 5* Cologne Renaissance

I am new to the board, post booking feedback as I did book with Priceline directly earlier this week, but will do from this site for the future :-). I didn't discover this site earlier, I wished I did so I am more informed! I left money on the table..that's for sure, based on other bidder's success in getting a lower rate.

November 19 for two nights, at 89 USD each night - subtotal 178 USD plus 42.76 USD in taxes = Grand Total 220.76 USD.

Renaissance was classified as a 5*, as the previous poster mentioned, which I find a bit misleading. The Renaissance chain is not in the league regardless which property within the chain. It is a good major chain hotel.

There are very few 5* hotels in Cologne, in fact, Hotel Ernst and Dom Hotel maybe the only two in the city I would classify as a 5*, I even like the Intercontinental Hotel Cologne better - which I would even pegged as a 5* than the Renaissance.
