Lagacygt Posted November 5, 2009 Report Posted November 5, 2009 I saw that others had success with $70 bids at Parc 55 (the hotel Im hoping for) and tried all available rebids to $79 and none were accepted, even at the 3.5* level. Will $80 do the trick? I didn't bid $80 (because Impigheaded and stupid and tried to stick to my guns) and now I have to wait a few more hours to rebid. There is a Cal - Stanford rivalry game so that might be driving up the prices, although Stanfords new stadium seats 50,000. Although I imagine at least half will be local fans and students. Does priceline/hotwire charge a fee for booking?Hotwire offered what appears to be Galleria Park (3.5* USE, boutique, wifi, business ctr, fitness ctr) for $75, which is $4 cheaper than what Hotels.com is offering.Of course I will use the links to make my purchase.
AaronJB Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 You could certainly try $80, although I'm guessing $82-85 may be what it takes for a 4*. I certainly wouldn't go very high at all (nor do I think you need to), given that HOTWIRE rates are quite inexpensive on these dates (and the 3.5*'s on HOTWIRE are even cheaper.)HOTWIRE and PRICELINE do charge a fee. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links.
