coolibaly Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Hello we flies from 20-January to 24.Januar to New York.We want to sleep to Time the Square. If possible in 4 stars a hotel.Know you which hotel in this period with hotwire one books? We are 4 adults and 2 children under 2 years. Now it is complicated; -) Someone ever booked that 1 room for 4 persons with Hotwire? Does one receive then 1 room with two double beds or possibly a Suite?And/or. if it becomes 1 room, do you mean the hotel get involved then in a Upgrade on a Suite? For me the question arises whether I enter 2 children with Hotwire or not
AaronJB Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 Welcome to the site. :)With HOTWIRE, one can book up to 4 people in a room. PRICELINE does not guarantee two beds, though. In terms of children, if they are under 2 years old, then they do not have to be indicated. The other issue is that HOTWIRE customers are entitled to a regular room - HOTWIRE or PRICELINE customers are not eligible for upgrades. While upgrades may be able to be worked out with the hotel, there is no guarantee and they may say no.There are many different participating HOTWIRE properties, but only a set of them will appear for any given date or set of dates, and listings can change. The set of NYC HOTWIRE hotels that have been reported to the board can be found at this link. Please use the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchase, and let us know if you have any questions.
AaronJB Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 When I search on HOTWIRE.com for 4 adults for these dates, there is a 4* property for $169 (the price you see may vary slightly) in the Times Square area with Suite, Fitness, Restaurant, Business and Internet listed as amenities. This would likely be the Doubletree Suites Times Square, which would work quite well. When I search for 2 rooms and 4 adults total (2 in each room), the same property comes up for $133 (the price you see may vary slightly) per room. So, you could get 2 suites at this property for $266 per night, which would certainly give you plenty of room. Please use the site's HOTWIRE link if this idea is of interest.
