Priceline Hotel: Chicago 11/25-11/28

Looking for an inexpensive hotel for my parents to stay in over thanksgiving weekend. Location (near downtown - I live in Lincoln Park, not out near the airports) is very important, amenities are not. Very price sensitive. What is the best deal I can reasonably shoot for on PL?

I'd attempt to bid for a 4* in the Millennium Park/Loop/Grant Park area for $70.

Additionally, I don't recommend bidding in Lincoln Park - too few hotels, too little inventory, not much in the way of deals.

I have gone up to $85 for a 4* in Michigan ave and Loop area with no takers. Also tried up to $85 for a 3* in Michigan ave area and no takers. My dates were for 11/27-11/29. Just FYI

Thanks - I'll let you know what happens when we try. We may amend the dates and not stay Friday night to see if that helps. When I've looked at the nightly rates they seem to jump up quite a bit for the weekend. People coming into town to shop I guess.

Just talked to a friend who bid $70 for a 4* in the Loop and it was accepted. Dates were the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. Forgot to ask what property he got.
